Welcome
to the Website of the Anglican Parish of Worth, Pound Hill and Maidenbower. There are two Churches in our Parish. St Nicholas
or Worth Church, Worth and St Barnabas Church, Pound Hill. The parish serves a geographical area covering the densely populated eastern side of the town
of Crawley and some outlying houses and farms in the countryside that extend eastwards beyond the M23 motorway towards the
villages of Copthorne, Crawley Down and Turners Hill.
The Revd. Canon Anthony J Ball is Rector of the Parish. The Revd Angela Martin is
Assistant Rector.
The Parish has two centres of worship that provide bases from which is carried out a ministry
of spiritual, sacramental, pastoral and missionary work in accordance with the statutory obligations laid upon the Church
of England.
St
Nicholas Church, Worth is estimated to be the 4th oldest in the country. St Barnabas Church, Pound Hill, was built as part
of the New Town expansion in the 1950s.
The parish is in the Deanery of East Grinstead and the Diocese of Chichester.
We hope that this website will
guide you around the Parish - our worship, events and organisations and contact points for any further information.
